Dodgers Return the Favor to Red Storm
The Red Storm defeated the Dodgers earlier in the tournament. They came prepared for a fight, and that's exactly what they got. The Kid Pitch Dodger team played a masterful game. I would add the caveat "for their age group", but that would be credit to a "less-than-deserved" level. Both teams played a fantastic game, regardless of age consideration. The drama of the last two innings was the stuff of legends. Parents, how many times did we imagine as kids ourselves: "Championship game, Last inning, 2 outs, bases loaded, 3 balls, 2 strikes is the count... How we've all imagined being on the mound...... STRIIIIIIIIIKE 3 !!! It was so awesome that words just can't tell the story. Frankly I'm very proud of both teams. That was seriously some kick-butt, nail-biting baseball. It's just icing on the cake to have come out on top.
I've decided to include more images than planned. throughout the game I attempted to capture the concentration and focus that were on these boys' faces. As they were determined to not be denied, we reflect on our own emotions, vicariously watching the team, and being so very proud of them for their own accomplishments. They will undoubtedly remember this day.
As far as the image particulars, we'll mostly skip that for this post because of the sheer number of images. I'm just going to bask in the coolness of what just happened. It's safe to say that there was light, and then there was less light, then very little. I was adjusting for the light all evening long, and as expected lost some decent shots to poor exposure.
